Currently, this model is being sold by many dealers at around 92 million VND, about 2-3 million VND higher than the beginning of the week and 11 million VND higher than the suggested price! The SH 125i version also increased to 76 million VND, 9 million VND higher than the suggested price.

Not only SH 125i/150i but also its younger brother SH are in a state of shortage and price increase. Currently, the standard SH mode is selling for 56.5 million VND, the fashion and personality version is selling for 57.5 million VND, 6 and 7 million VND higher than the suggested price respectively.

Honda's best-selling scooter model, the Air Blade, is also not out of the price increase race, with retail prices to consumers currently at 40.7, 42.7 and 44 million VND for the sport, premium and magnetic paint versions, about 500-700 thousand VND higher than last week and 2.7-3 million VND higher than the suggested price.

According to a representative of a Honda dealer, the selling price of cars on the market depends entirely on the supply and demand factors. When the supply is limited, the dealer does not need to sell for sales, so the price can be higher than the suggested price and consumers still accept it. On the contrary, when the supply is large, the dealer needs sales, so he can sell lower than the suggested price but often there are still no buyers.

“It is possible that Honda’s policy of limiting production to maintain good purchasing power has caused supply to be scarce, pushing prices up.
