Hoang Mai town has over 1,000 fishing boats, with an average monthly catch of 3,500 - 4,000 tons of various types of seafood. There are 70 cold storage facilities in the area, currently holding nearly 5,000 tons of seafood.
Faced with that situation, the Town reviewed the production plan, synthesized the storage capacity of the freezers and cold storage to have a plan to purchase seafood for the returning ships. Create conditions for customers from other provinces to purchase seafood in accordance with the anti-epidemic process. However, due to the complicated developments of the epidemic, the amount of seafood consumed is slow, estimated to consume about 15 - 20 tons of seafood per day.
Similar situation in the districtQuynh Luu,The frozen inventory is still quite large. The owner of a frozen warehouse in Tien Thuy commune, Quynh Luu said: The major markets are Da Nang, and some southern provinces are implementing strict social distancing, so most of the customers have stopped trading. The family's frozen warehouse currently has about 200 tons of seafood left, currently mainly consumed within the province with very small quantities.
