On the afternoon of December 27, the Nghe An Provincial Cooperative Union summarized its activities in 2022 and deployed tasks for 2023. Attending and directing the conference were comrade Nguyen Van De - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, leaders of provincial departments and branches.
By the end of 2022, the province had 859 cooperatives. Over the past year, cooperatives have overcome difficulties to maintain production and business activities; mobilized resources to invest in infrastructure, machinery and equipment, expanded industries, scope of operations and linked production and business to increase production value and income for workers.
Accordingly, the average revenue of a cooperative in 2022 will reach VND 2,250 million; The average revenue of a cooperative union will reach VND 3,200 million. Labor income will reach an average of VND 58 million/year. Many cooperatives have built large-scale production and business models in the fields of trade, agricultural and seafood processing, and medicinal materials. To date, 21/21 urban districts have at least 1 new cooperative model associated with the value chain.

In addition to the achieved results, the delegates attending the conference discussed and frankly pointed out the shortcomings and limitations that need to be overcome such as: The number of newly established cooperatives in the year has not reached the set plan; The management apparatus of many cooperatives still has many shortcomings, is weak in governance and is not dynamic; The number of cooperatives that innovate production and business methods, and link production and business according to the value chain is still limited; The capacity to access the market and the competitiveness of many cooperatives are still weak.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Van De - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee highly appreciated the results achieved by the provincial cooperative alliance in recent times, recognizing the contributions of cooperative economy to the socio-economic development of the province.
Regarding the key tasks of the cooperative alliance in the coming time, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized: Clearly identifying the responsibility for developing the collective economy and cooperatives is an inevitable trend, a task of the political system, so it is necessary to focus on synchronously implementing the tasks assigned by the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance, the Provincial Party Committee, and the Provincial People's Committee. Continue to review and perfect the system of regulations, mechanisms, and policies, promptly remove difficulties and obstacles, especially those related to capital, land, and people.
