Enhancing brand recognition and elevating the image of Nghe An Newspaper.

On the morning of July 16th, Nghe An Newspaper held a conference to review its Party building and professional work during the first six months of the year and to plan tasks for the remaining six months. Ms. Pham Thi Hong Toan, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, and Editor-in-Chief of Nghe An Newspaper, chaired the conference.

Attending the conference were leaders of the Party Committee of the Provincial Agencies Bloc: Chu Bá Long - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee; Lê Thị Kim Oanh - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Propaganda Department of the Party Committee.

Successfully completed the set plan.

In the first six months of 2019, under the leadership of the Party Committee and the Editorial Board, the collective of reporters and staff of Nghe An Newspaper successfully completed all nine planned objectives, notably: completing the restructuring of the organizational apparatus according to Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW dated October 25, 2017, of the 6th Plenum of the 12th Central Committee on some issues concerning the reform and restructuring of the political system's organizational apparatus to be streamlined, effective, and efficient; improving the quality of propaganda content in publications; and improving the living standards of staff, reporters, and technicians.

In particular, after two months of testing and officially implementing the new Publishing Code, the number of visits to baonghean.vn has continuously increased.

The operation of the converged newsroom is becoming increasingly effective. Information on political events, current affairs, economic, cultural and social fields, ensuring security and order, and traffic safety is prominent and creates many highlights.

The work of disseminating legal information and handling reader complaints increasingly demonstrates a high level of responsibility in protecting the legitimate rights and interests of the people.

Many works have won high awards at central and provincial journalism competitions, including one work that won the C prize at the 2018 National Journalism Awards and many journalism awards organized by ministries and sectors; one second prize and three third prizes at the 2018 Nghe An Provincial Journalism Awards…

The Party Committee of Nghe An Newspaper has 5 branches with 51 party members. As of June 30th, Nghe An Newspaper has 74 cadres, reporters, and staff members, and 12 special collaborators working at the editorial office, and conducts periodic performance evaluations and rankings.

Elevating the brand of Nghe An Newspaper

Speaking at the conference, Comrade Chu Ba Long, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Provincial Agencies Bloc, acknowledged the outstanding progress of Nghe An Newspaper. Under the leadership of the Party Committee and the Editorial Board, the unit's staff has demonstrated unity, collaboration, breakthroughs, innovation, creativity, and a willingness to think outside the box and take action.

In particular, the Party Committee of the Provincial Agencies Bloc highly appreciated the methods of utilizing cadres, reporters, and collaborators, especially the proper placement and assignment of tasks according to their work capabilities, the effective recruitment of human resources, and the efficient use of the collaborator team.

Nghe An Newspaper has taken the lead in applying technology to serve its publishing and operational work; effectively implemented emulation movements; and improved the material and spiritual lives of its staff, reporters, and employees. Party building work has been given attention, and the Party's activities have been conducted in an orderly manner.

In addition, Nghe An Newspaper has always paid attention to activities of showing gratitude and visiting generations of its staff and reporters; thereby educating the current generation of journalists about traditions; and effectively organizing social welfare activities.

Agreeing with the proposed solutions for the last six months of the year, Comrade Chu Bá Long suggested that Nghe An Newspaper review the targets set by the Party Congress of Nghe An Newspaper for the 2015-2020 term to develop solutions for achieving these targets; and at the same time, evaluate the implementation of the province's targets in which the Newspaper has contributed.

The Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Provincial Agencies Bloc also expressed his wish for Nghe An Newspaper to open some new sections on Party building; to have a special page on the implementation of Resolution No. 35-NQ/TW of the Politburo on strengthening the protection of the Party's ideological foundation and combating erroneous and hostile viewpoints in the new situation; and to continue paying attention to inspection work, improving the quality of Party branch activities, and evaluating Party members.

In her concluding remarks at the conference, Comrade Pham Thi Hong Toan expressed gratitude for the attention, support, and sharing from the collective and leaders of the Party Committee of the Provincial Agencies Bloc in the development of the newspaper.

The Editor-in-Chief of Nghe An Newspaper assessed that, after a period of implementing the new Publishing Code, the majority of cadres, reporters, and staff of Nghe An Newspaper have adopted a more professional approach and mindset, with a very confident attitude.

The above solution has enhanced capabilities, skills, and thinking, especially teamwork; therefore, the quality and value of works and work efficiency have been improved; thereby elevating the newspaper's standing and further enhancing its role as the voice of the Party Committee, government, and people of the province.

Also at the conference, Nghe An Newspaper awarded commendations to collectives and individuals who had achieved outstanding results in performing their duties during the first six months of the year and in implementing the Publishing Code, as well as to authors whose works had a positive impact.
