(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of May 22, 2014, Nghi Loc District People's Committee held a conference to summarize 20 years of implementing Directive No. 11 CT/BNV on promoting the mass movement to protect national security in special areas in the new situation.

Over the past 20 years, the movement of the entire people to protect national security in Nghi Loc district has been constantly strengthened, raising awareness of vigilance against plots to divide Catholics and non-Catholics, fighting against distortions of the Party and State's policies; consolidating the great national unity bloc; through the movement, a friendly relationship has been created between dignitaries, officials and Catholics with the government; attracting a contingent of dignitaries, officials and a large number of Catholics to participate in the fight against all kinds of crimes and eliminating social evils; contributing to maintaining political security and social order and safety, creating a favorable environment for attracting investment projects to develop infrastructure, develop industrial parks and cultural and educational projects, creating a remarkable change in the district's socio-economic situation. Through the movement, the contributions of parishioners and dignitaries have actively supported the campaigns to build a cultural lifestyle, cultural residential areas, cultural families, and the campaign to live a good life and practice good religion...

Discussing at the conference, delegates contributed many ideas drawn from the implementation process in each locality, and pointed out many measures and solutions to overcome in the coming time such as: continuing to consolidate and perfect the Steering Committee from district to commune; strengthening propaganda and dissemination of laws; strengthening state management of religion; continuing to launch emulation movements in religious areas...

Also at the conference, 10 collectives and 10 individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing the mass movement to protect national security in religious areas were awarded certificates of merit.
