Strengthening the mass movement to protect national security in special areas.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of May 22, 2014, the People's Committee of Nghi Loc district held a conference to summarize 20 years of implementing Directive No. 11 CT/BNV on promoting the mass movement to protect national security in special areas in the new situation.

Certificates of commendation were awarded to collectives and individuals who achieved outstanding results in the movement to protect national security.

Over the past 20 years, the nationwide movement to protect national security in Nghi Loc district has been continuously strengthened, raising awareness of divisive schemes between Catholic and non-Catholic communities, combating distortions of the Party and State's policies; consolidating national unity; fostering friendly relations between religious leaders, officials, and parishioners with the government; attracting religious leaders, officials, and a large number of parishioners to participate in the fight against crime and the eradication of social evils; contributing to maintaining political security and social order, creating a favorable environment for attracting investment projects to develop infrastructure, industrial zones, and cultural and educational projects, and creating remarkable socio-economic transformations in the district. Through this movement, the contributions of parishioners and religious leaders have actively supported campaigns to build a cultured lifestyle, cultured residential areas, cultured families, and the movement to live a good and virtuous life.

During the conference, delegates contributed many ideas drawn from the implementation process in each locality, and also pointed out many measures and solutions to overcome challenges in the future, such as: continuing to strengthen and improve the Steering Committee from the district to the commune level; strengthening the dissemination of laws; strengthening state management of religion; continuing to launch emulation movements in religious areas…

Also at the conference, 10 collectives and 10 individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing the mass movement to protect national security in areas inhabited by religious communities were awarded certificates of commendation.
