On the morning of December 29, the Catholic Solidarity Committee of Nghe An province held its second conference for the 2017-2022 term. Attending the conference were leaders of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province and representatives of leaders of a number of relevant departments and branches.

At this conference, the Catholic Solidarity Committee set out a number of tasks for the coming year, such as coordinating to promote propaganda work on the Party's policies and guidelines; promoting the role, principles and purposes of the Catholic Solidarity Committee; uniting to participate in economic development, actively helping each other to eliminate hunger and reduce poverty; uniting to build cultural life, and taking care of education.

The Catholic Solidarity Committee also believes that in the coming time, it is necessary to promote and strengthen the humanitarian charity movement, encourage benefactors with useful deeds. Encourage parishioners to enthusiastically compete in labor production...

In addition, one of the important tasks set forth by the conference is to continue to innovate working methods, promote patriotic emulation movements, towards the 7th Congress of Vietnamese Catholics for National Construction and Defense, term 2018 - 2023.
