Comrade Huynh Thanh Dien chaired the meeting.
The project to upgrade and expand National Highway 1A through Nghe An province has a total main route length of 73.8km, passing through the districts and cities of Quynh Luu, Dien Chau, Nghi Loc and Vinh City. The route is divided into 5 projects and has 4 contractors. The total cost for site clearance for the entire route is estimated at 1,076 billion VND. Regarding site clearance, up to now, the Project Board has approved the records of extracts and measurements of nearly 70km (reaching 97% of the plan); inventory of 67.4km, compensation prices for nearly 61km... and has handed over 42.7km of site to contractors.
However, the project is currently facing some difficulties and problems in the process of compensation and site clearance for some households in Quynh Luu, Dien Chau and especially in Nghi Loc; the implementation of resettlement work is still slow... To ensure the progress of the project, the Provincial People's Committee and related levels and sectors focus on resolving problems in site clearance and site clearance and promptly handing over the site to the contractor.
Concluding the working session, Mr. Huynh Thanh Dien - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee stated: Upgrading and expanding National Highway 1A is a key national project, so it is necessary to complete the site clearance work to speed up the construction progress. To carry out that work well, the province has reorganized the Site Clearance Compensation Steering Committee and proposed timely and appropriate solutions to remove obstacles and difficulties in the project implementation process. For the districts, it is necessary to coordinate with the Project Management Board and related departments and branches to focus on directing the good implementation of site clearance work, speeding up the construction progress of resettlement areas. Contractors need to focus on means, equipment and human resources to focus on construction to ensure progress, quality, safety, etc.
