(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of July 13, 2015, the Youth Volunteer Force of Nghe An province held a conference to review and evaluate the results of the tasks performed in the first six months of the year and to implement tasks for the last six months of 2015.

Members of the Provincial Youth Union Standing Committee, Executive Committee members, representatives of the Youth Volunteer Brigades, and affiliated units attended the conference.

Delegates attending the Conference assessed the achievements while frankly pointing out the difficulties and limitations in the first six months of 2015, including harsh weather conditions, epidemics, and complex fluctuations in market prices; the coordination of transformation in some Youth Volunteer units not meeting the schedule; and the fragmented planning of raw material areas… all of which affected the production activities of the entire force.

Nevertheless, in the first six months of the year, agricultural production across the entire force remained stable, with many products meeting and exceeding production targets. Total tea production is estimated at 8,185 tons, with 40 hectares newly planted and 450,000 seedlings propagated. Sugarcane production reached 388 hectares, yielding 6,300 tons, with 106 hectares newly planted. Pineapple production reached nearly 1,000 tons. The total poultry population reached 28,400 birds, and livestock exceeded 3,100 animals, an increase of 13% compared to the same period in 2014. The total value of agricultural production reached over 54 billion VND.

Forest planting, conservation, and protection were carried out effectively, covering a total area of ​​34,662 hectares, including 23,343 hectares of protective forest, 11,318 hectares of production forest, 500 hectares of raw material forest, and 130 hectares of newly planted forest, with forest cover reaching 80-95%. In the first six months of the year, the entire force processed and sold 37 tons of dried tea; managed and educated 29 drug rehabilitation and vocational training trainees at the Phuc Son Social Labor Center. They organized 18 training courses for 1,250 participants, established 3 new concentrated models, 27 models in households, and replicated 25 agricultural and forestry production models.

Delegates attending the Conference identified the tasks for the last six months of the year, focusing on consolidating the organization and operation of the Youth Volunteer Force throughout the province according to the decision of the Provincial People's Committee. They also emphasized accelerating the dissolution and transfer of Youth Volunteer units approved by the Provincial People's Committee, consolidating, innovating, and improving the effectiveness of the entire force. Furthermore, they stressed the importance of actively advising and proposing the formation of new units along the border, striving to successfully complete the 2015 plan targets.
