Expedite the progress of the North and South Vinh City Bus Station projects.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of October 9th, the Provincial People's Committee held a site inspection and working session with Nghe An Bus Station Joint Stock Company (the investor) regarding the construction progress of the North Bus Station project (in Nghi Kim - Vinh City) and the South Bus Station project (in Hung Loi commune - Hung Nguyen district). Mr. Huynh Thanh Dien, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, presided over the meeting. Leaders from relevant departments and agencies also attended.

According to the project schedule for the North Bus Station in Vinh City, the technical design documents for construction have been prepared and approved, and the site leveling work has been completed. Simultaneously, the basic design documents for all structures within the bus station area have been approved. The consulting unit has also completed the technical design and cost estimate for the multi-purpose building and the 250 KVA transformer substation. The construction of the fence is expected to be completed by the end of October (3 months behind schedule), and the investor has yet to begin construction on several other important items.

At the Southern Bus Station project in Vinh City, only the site leveling and the construction of the fence and transformer station have been completed. The remaining items have not yet been constructed, and the investor has not fulfilled its commitments to the province.

Review of the design for the North Bus Station project in Vinh City.

During a meeting with Nghe An Bus Station Joint Stock Company, Mr. Huynh Thanh Dien, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, acknowledged the efforts of relevant departments and agencies in coordinating land clearance for the two bus station construction projects. However, he noted that the project progress was too slow, while the volume of passenger vehicles entering and leaving Vinh City was very high, and some transport vehicles were picking up and dropping off passengers in unauthorized locations, affecting traffic safety. Therefore, Nghe An Bus Station Joint Stock Company must focus on investing and implementing the two bus station construction projects on schedule, so that by June 30, 2015, the North Vinh City Bus Station must be completed and put into use, and the South Bus Station must be completed by the end of 2015. Mr. Huynh Thanh Dien requested that relevant departments and agencies coordinate and actively support the investor in resolving difficulties and obstacles to ensure the projects are completed on schedule.
