Speeding up the progress of the Investment Project of Song Ngu Son Joint Stock Company

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of March 18, the working delegation of the Provincial People's Committee led by Ms. Dinh Thi Le Thanh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee had a working session with Song Ngu Son Joint Stock Company on the progress of the investment project "Lan Chau - Song Ngu Eco-tourism Complex, Resort Villas, Sports, Entertainment". Also attending were representatives of the Departments of Construction, Finance, Planning and Investment, Natural Resources and Environment, Culture - Sports and Tourism, Provincial Military Command, and Cua Lo Town.

The project “Lan Chau – Song Ngu Eco-tourism Complex, Resort Villas, Sports, Entertainment” was granted an investment certificate by the Provincial People’s Committee on March 18, 2014. After 1 year, the project has implemented a number of items such as: Opening the Lan Chau – Song Ngu inland waterway tourism route; renovating the pier on Lan Chau island, building infrastructure such as the road from the mainland to Lan Chau island, the road around Lan Chau island, leveling the ground on Lan Chau island and Dao Ngu pagoda beach; breaking ground on Lan Chau 1 restaurant; Complete the transfer of all compensation payments for site clearance in Nghi Hoa, Nghi Thuy, Thu Thuy areas... Compared with the registration documents, the project implementation progress is relatively slow, due to problems with land use conversion, compensation plans, site clearance compensation... At the meeting, representatives of the sectors gave their opinions to remove the problems, creating favorable conditions for the implementation of project items.

Concluding the meeting, comrade Dinh Thi Le Thanh emphasized that the project "Lan Chau - Song Ngu Eco-tourism Complex, Resort Villas, Sports, Entertainment" is a large project, meaningful in promoting tourism development of Cua Lo Town in particular and the province in general, and acknowledged the participation of Cua Lo Town and related sectors in removing difficulties and obstacles of the project. To speed up the project implementation, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also requested the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to urgently appraise and approve the environmental impact assessment (EIA) of the project in March 2015. Regarding compensation for site clearance, the Vice Chairman requested Cua Lo Town and sectors to consider specific options and continue to have a meeting to select the optimal option in early April 2015. Comrade Dinh Thi Le Thanh also requested that investors be more proactive in implementing the project and quickly start construction of cleared items.
