Expedite the progress of the Song Lam cement project.
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of May 17th, the Provincial People's Committee held a working session with The Vissai Cement Group to expedite the progress of the Song Lam cement project. Mr. Huynh Thanh Dien, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, chaired the meeting.

After taking over the Do Luong cement project on December 26, 2014, The Vissai Cement Group established Song Lam Cement Joint Stock Company and implemented a project to increase capacity from 900,000 tons/year to 4 million tons/year. Simultaneously, they developed an investment project for a cement grinding plant and an international port in Nghi Thiet commune, Nghi Loc district, with a total investment of 12,600 billion VND.

At the conference, representatives from Song Lam Cement Joint Stock Company reported on the project's progress and expressed their determination to complete the Song Lam Cement Plant within 18 months, the Cement Grinding Station within 15 months, and the International Specialized Seaport within 18 months.
Due to the accelerated construction schedule, the project is currently facing several difficulties and obstacles, such as: expanding the factory construction area; military facilities located within the planned raw material processing zone require timely land clearance; the cement grinding plant and the specialized international seaport need to be provided with clean land and receive preferential policies when investing in the economic zone. The project also needs to expedite the construction of two unfinished roads: Road D4 (connecting Nghi Thiet with National Highway 1A) and Road N5 (connecting the Southeast Economic Zone to Hoa Son - Do Luong)...
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Huynh Thanh Dien, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, acknowledged the efforts of the investor and all levels and sectors in implementing the project. He also emphasized that this is an important project for the province, therefore, any obstacles related to land clearance for the factory area, limestone quarry, raw material transportation routes, cement grinding plant, and specialized port… will be promptly addressed by the province to create favorable conditions for the investor to implement the project on schedule.
