Expedite the land clearance process for National Highway 1A.

(Baonghean.vn) -On August 28th, Mr. Huynh Thanh Dien, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, inspected the progress of land clearance for the National Highway 1A upgrade and expansion project in Nghe An province. Attending the meeting were representatives from the Department of Transport, Finance, and Natural Resources and Environment, localities through which National Highway 1A passes, and representatives of the project investors.

The project to upgrade National Highway 1A through Nghe An province has a total main route length of 73.8 km, divided into 5 sub-projects. Currently, 37.59 km of land has been handed over. At the meeting, localities and contractors reported on the progress made so far. Generally, the progress has not met the planned schedule, mainly due to the Ministry of Transport changing the project scale to narrow the road. This change has forced project owners to modify the design and re-establish land clearance markers.

After listening to the opinions of the localities and the investor regarding the difficulties and obstacles, Comrade Huynh Thanh Dien concluded: To ensure the set progress, the investor needs to focus on re-establishing the boundary markers according to the new scale so that localities can carry out land clearance, review the planning of the resettlement area to submit to the province and the Government, and review the total land clearance costs to prepare a financial plan. Once the land is available, construction should be completed decisively to ensure traffic safety. Localities need to review the compensation plan to ensure reasonable compensation for the people…
