(Baonghean.vn) - The Song Lam Cement Plant commenced construction on February 4, 2014.
Initially, the Do Luong Cement project, with a capacity of 910,000 tons of cement per year, was invested in by Do Luong Cement Joint Stock Company in Bai Son commune, Do Luong district. After the Government authorized the transfer of all shares in Do Luong Cement Joint Stock Company to Hoang Phat Vissai Group through a negotiated agreement, the company was renamed Song Lam Cement Joint Stock Company. The total estimated investment for the project is 10,500 billion VND, and according to the commitment, the construction time (Phase I) is expected to be 18 months before the plant officially begins operation.
Currently, the factory is focusing on mobilizing manpower and machinery to complete the internal road construction. They are now concentrating on the worker housing area, drilling pile foundations, and laying power lines to the construction sites. In addition, the factory is recruiting and training over 300 workers.
