Free English lessons for people involved in community tourism.

(Baonghean.vn) - In order to help local people involved in community tourism communicate in English with foreign tourists visiting and staying in the area, the Vi-Mickey English Center located in Con Cuong has organized free English classes for the local people.

Trainees, who are involved in community tourism in Nua and Khe Ran villages, participate in free English classes.

The class has 15 students, all of whom are households participating in community tourism in Nua and Khe Ran villages. These two villages in Bong Khe and Yen Khe communes were selected by Con Cuong district as pilot sites for community tourism development, and in fact, they welcome hundreds of tourists annually, including many foreign tour groups.

Teacher Vi Thi Tham imparts the most basic vocabulary to the students, helping them to easily remember and apply it.

Ms. Vi Thi Tham, Director of Vi-Mickey English Center and the instructor for the classes, said: "With a curriculum designed to be simple and suitable for older learners and those learning English for the first time, the class will provide the locals with the most basic vocabulary, such as greetings, farewells, dates, introducing local specialties, describing local scenery, guiding guests on booking rooms, asking for directions, giving directions, paying bills, and how to talk about prices... This will help community tourism owners increase their confidence in communicating with foreign tourists, facilitating business operations and opening up new avenues for tourism in Con Cuong."
