After mentioning economic indicators, delegate Nguyen Thanh Hien - Deputy Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Nghe An province expressed his "impatient" attitude when the equitization of state-owned enterprises was slow, while this is one of the very necessary solutions to promote economic development.

On the afternoon of May 25, the delegation of National Assembly deputies of Nghe An province and the delegations of National Assembly deputies of Tra Vinh, Lai Chau, and Da Nang provinces discussed in groups the following contents: Additional assessment of the results of the implementation of the socio-economic development plan and the State budget in 2016; the implementation of the socio-economic development plan and the State budget in the first months of 2017 and the State budget settlement in 2015.

Comrade Nguyen Dac Vinh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Nghe An province chaired the discussion session.

Delegate Nguyen Thanh Hien compared that in 2016, about 56 state-owned enterprises were equitized, while the average in the period 2011-2015 was 118 enterprises/year. In the first quarter of 2017, only 8 enterprises and 1 public service unit were equitized and 41 enterprises were about to be approved.

This delegate also raised the concerns of voters that through equitization, has the implementation of land use valuation been accurate or not? Or is there a phenomenon of circumventing the law through joint ventures and associations between enterprises regarding land issues, leading to losses for the State after equitization.

Therefore, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hien suggested that this issue should be paid attention to. "The government is preparing to inspect 6 enterprises, I think this is very positive", - Mr. Hien expressed.

Meanwhile, also related to the issue of enterprises, this delegate said that the number of newly registered enterprises has increased sharply. However, the number of enterprises is mainly small and micro enterprises, accounting for 95-96%.

“We are lacking large enterprises as pillars, creating breakthroughs in socio-economic development. Therefore, we need effective solutions,” said delegate Tran Van Mao.
