To attract more readers to the Party newspaper.

(Baonghean) - First and foremost, it must be affirmed that Party newspapers and magazines in general, and Nghe An newspaper in particular, have made a significant contribution to the nearly 30 years of successful national reform. Thanks to their informational guidance and propaganda, conveying the Party's guidelines and resolutions, and the State's policies and laws to cadres, Party members, and the people, while also bringing the voice of the people to the Party, Party newspapers serve as a "bridge" connecting the people with the Party. Many exemplary individuals, valuable initiatives and experiences, and vivid life lessons are updated, explored, summarized, and distilled by Party newspapers, helping readers learn, apply, or implement them in their lives. While readers may be cautious when using information from other newspapers, they can be completely confident and trust information from Party newspapers.

At the 2014 Collaborator Conference organized by Nghe An Newspaper, nearly 100 outstanding collaborators representing over 550 contributors participated, contributing many ideas to the newspaper's development. Besides acknowledging and thanking the Editorial Board for their attention, many sincere suggestions were offered to help the Nghe An Party newspaper grow stronger. Most opinions expressed a desire for the Party newspaper to enhance its fighting spirit, especially at a time when we are implementing the Central Committee Resolution No. 4 of the 11th Party Congress on "Some urgent issues concerning Party building today" and the Politburo's Directive 03/CT/TƯ on continuing to promote "Learning and following the moral example of Ho Chi Minh."

Besides promptly reporting on good deeds, exemplary individuals, and outstanding collectives, newspapers boldly criticize negative behaviors, corruption, and violations of the law, promptly detecting and bringing them to public attention to purify the Party and the State apparatus, and stabilize social order. President Ho Chi Minh once said, in essence, that each pen and page is a sharp weapon on the ideological front to fight against erroneous ideas and actions that harm the prestige and honor of the Party and the State. The fighting spirit of each newspaper today determines its readership, especially in the current fight against the pandemic of corruption and waste. In addition to its Party-oriented and fighting spirit, critical analysis, exchange, and the voice of the people through hotlines, reader contributions, and letters of suggestion should also be updated and published more frequently. One contributor stated that some people buy newspapers because they like a particular section that the newspaper publishes and that publishes it accurately.

It is essential that Party committees at all levels regularly pay attention to directing grassroots units to subscribe to and manage the use of Party newspapers in accordance with the spirit of Directive 11-CT/TƯ of the Politburo and Directive 03-CT/TU of the Standing Committee of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee. This is to ensure that Party newspapers are effective and properly oriented propaganda materials for cadres, Party members, and the people.

For a long time, the Party newspaper has been an indispensable source of intellectual nourishment for all of us. Hopefully, this intellectual nourishment will continue to flow even more strongly, reaching all citizens and all social strata, compelling them to consciously seek out and read the Party newspaper…
