The initial victim was identified as Ho CH (23 years old), residing in Tan Son block, Hoa Hieu ward (Thai Hoa town).

At around 6:40 a.m. the same day, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department mobilized the Fire Prevention and Rescue Team No. 3 to dispatch a fire prevention and rescue vehicle and 18 officers and soldiers to quickly arrive at the scene, coordinating with the Thai Hoa Town Police, militia and civil defense forces to search for the victims. Officers and soldiers of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department divided into many working groups, deployed motorboats and underwater detection equipment to search; due to the wide river, high water, and hot weather, the search became very difficult.
At about 10:40 a.m. the same day, the victim's body was found.
Authorities are currently investigating the cause and handing over the body to the victim's family.
