In 2016, implementing the direction of the Central Party Secretariat, the awareness of the political system and all classes of people and consumers in the province about prioritizing the use of Vietnamese goods has been raised, consumers in the province increasingly appreciate and gradually have the habit of preferring to use Vietnamese goods. The quantity of Vietnamese goods consumed has increased significantly, the group of goods with domestic origin has accounted for 90% of the total goods sold in supermarkets, accounting for 70% in markets and rural markets.

Enterprises' awareness of investing in, improving the quality and competitiveness of products and services; implementing commitments to protect consumer rights, and building brands for Vietnamese products and goods has had positive changes.
The Department of Industry and Trade has implemented a project to develop the domestic market in conjunction with the Campaign for Vietnamese people to prioritize using Vietnamese goods, such as organizing the conference to connect supply and demand of goods in Nghe An province in 2016, participating in the conference to connect supply and demand in Da Nang, contributing to promoting many products in the province such as Vinh oranges, Nam Dan soy sauce, Quy Chau incense... to markets outside the province.
Departments and branches have coordinated well in inspecting and controlling the market, detecting counterfeit goods, poor quality goods, goods of unknown origin, creating conditions for Vietnamese goods to have a market and reach consumers. Typically, in 2016, the Department of Industry and Trade organized inspections of 9,492 cases, handled 7,711 cases, and collected fines of over 9 billion VND. The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development organized inspections of agricultural, forestry and fishery production establishments in the province...
In 2016, more than 40 promotional programs were approved, with prizes worth up to 1 billion 358 million VND, more than 8,200 promotional announcements were received, and 7 Vietnamese goods markets were organized in Quy Hop, Quynh Luu... each market had up to 12 enterprises from inside and outside the province participating, with an average of 28 booths per session, with revenue from 600-700 million VND/session...

Comrade Phan Nguyen Hao - Deputy Director of the Department of Information and Communications said that Chinese goods are flooding the market, dirty food is a concern for consumers. The clean vegetable chain store system has not created trust in consumers, the price is high; 1 clean kohlrabi costs 20,000 VND - while people's income is still low, goods in the market cost only 5,000 VND. In my opinion, propaganda needs to be based on good quality and competitive prices. Therefore, businesses need to innovate technology, improve product quality to have competitive prices.
The Deputy Director of the Department of Information and Communications gave an example: recently, through a survey by Nielsel, even the simplest Vietnamese product, a dustpan, is difficult to compete. The plastic dustpan from Thailand is close to the floor and is of good quality, but the same product made domestically cannot collect all the dirt because the blade is not flat in contact with the floor, while the price is the same.

After listening to the speeches of the delegates, speaking at the conference, comrade Nguyen Xuan Son - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Steering Committee of the campaign acknowledged the efforts of departments, branches and localities in recent times in propagating and mobilizing Vietnamese people to prioritize using Vietnamese goods.
Regarding the tasks of 2017, he suggested continuing to strengthen propaganda activities and informing the contents of the campaign to all classes of people. Agencies, units and socio-political organizations use goods produced in Vietnam when making public purchases. Encourage enterprises, producers and traders to produce more quality goods and when implementing projects and works, use domestic equipment, materials and services with quality equivalent to imported goods for production and business.
Strengthen the leadership of Party committees at all levels in the campaign, continue to review and supplement policies and mechanisms to encourage and guide people's consumption, strictly control the spending of organizations and individuals using the national budget, and strictly handle units and individuals who do not set an example in practicing thrift and are wasteful in spending./.
