Beware of robberies on deserted roads.

January 29, 2013 11:24

(Baonghean)Recently, robberies have been occurring on deserted roads in Vinh City. The perpetrators often use weapons to threaten and rob people of their phones, money, and motorbikes, causing fear among residents.

Recently, at 10 PM on December 14th, Mr. Thai Khac Quy and Ms. Vo Thi Kim Oanh (both students at Vinh University) were sitting in the area along the Lam River in Ben Thuy Ward when two masked individuals on a motorbike without license plates threatened them with knives and stole their two mobile phones and their motorbike with license plate 37E1-00623.

Subsequently, at approximately 11 PM on December 20th, Mr. Nguyen Tien Anh, residing in Nghen Town, Can Loc District, Ha Tinh Province, and Ms. Pham Thi Vinh, residing in Nhan Son Commune, Do Luong District, were sitting opposite the Metro Supermarket in Ben Thuy Ward when they were threatened with knives by two individuals who robbed them of three mobile phones and their motorbike with license plate 37B1-05715. The Vinh City Police, who were lying in ambush, arrived promptly and apprehended the suspects. At the police station, the two suspects identified themselves as Luong Duc Ha (born in 1994) and Tran Van Thang (born in 1995), both residing in Xuan Giang Commune, Nghi Xuan District, Ha Tinh Province.

Weapons and two suspects involved in two robberies in Ben Thuy ward on December 14th and 20th, 2012.

According to Lieutenant Ho Dinh Hoi, a detective from the robbery investigation team of the Vinh City Police Department, the perpetrators meticulously prepare the means and tools for committing the crime. Their actions are carried out at night, and their targets are young couples talking in secluded areas. These areas are typically far from residential areas and lack adequate lighting. Therefore, when confronted by the robbers, the victims have no choice but to comply with their demands.

It can be said that the robberies that have occurred in Vinh City recently have shown that the perpetrators are extremely audacious, not only stealing property but also causing fear and anxiety among the people. At this rate, it is difficult to predict whether their actions will stop at robbery and could lead to murder, rape, etc. Therefore, to avoid becoming victims, everyone needs to be highly vigilant and avoid deserted places like the locations mentioned above.
