Although I did quite well on the test, I was still surprised by this year's exam, especially the literature essay question. I thought the question was for prose, but it was poetry and I wrote it in the first stanza of Waves - a part that is not often studied because we usually study more in the last stanza.

Sharing the same opinion, candidate Pham Thi Thu Hien - a student at Nghe An Gifted High School said: I only took the test to graduate, but I think the test was a bit different from my initial prediction. The reading comprehension and social argument questions were related and I did well. Although the literature argument question was not the main part of the review, I quickly regained my composure to complete the test based on the data and knowledge that my teachers taught.

Candidate Tran Thi Thanh Thao - Ha Huy Tap High School said: The social argumentation question is quite interesting. The topic of dedication is suitable for current reality. Personally, I still think that the question will raise a more specific issue such as talking about Covid-19. However, with this question, I still contact the frontline forces who have not hesitated to participate in the fight against the epidemic.

Candidate Vo Hong Quyet, also a student at Nghe An Gifted High School, was very excited about this year's exam, especially the essay question about dedication: I am a weightlifter and dedication is always highly valued in sports, for honor and for the flag. So for this topic, I just need to write about real things from life and from myself.

The Literature exam was familiar, not too difficult, that was the opinion of many candidates after the Literature exam this morning at the Con Cuong High School exam site.

Candidate Le Thi Yen Nhi - grade 12 student, Con Cuong High School, said that the Basic Literature exam was close to the review content, and not too difficult compared to previous years' exams. Commenting on the reading comprehension section (3 points) with a passage from "The Secret of Water", Nhi said that this was a good question, however, if any candidate has a rote learning method, lacks life skills and limited social knowledge, it will be very difficult to present their thoughts on the passage "The Secret of Water" by author Masaru Emoto. In this section, she hopes to get 2.5 points.

As for the writing section, there are 2 questions. In the 5-point writing question, candidate Nhi commented: “Express your feelings about the poem Waves in the excerpt by poet Xuan Quynh. This is a fairly familiar question, often asked in exams, but in my opinion, it is difficult to get a high score, especially for those who are subjective, careless or do not have a deep understanding of the work. I can do this question basically. In general, I think I will get 7-8 points for the first exam.”

In Quy Chau district, after the final bell rang, the candidates walked out of the exam room in a rather relaxed mood. Luong Thu Hang - a candidate said: "I found this year's exam not too difficult, many parts were very good, including the poem Wave. This is also one of the poems that is easy to remember, easy to understand, and full of emotions for students. And especially, I found sentence 1 of the essay section about thinking about the need to know how to live a life of dedication very good. It makes us think about more positive things in life."

This year's high school graduation literature exam was assessed by many candidates in Quy Hop as "not too difficult", closely following basic knowledge, suitable for the current trend and situation of the Covid-19 epidemic.

Evaluating the Literature exam this morning at the Quy Hop High School exam site, Nguyen Thi Linh Phuong, who took the graduation exam and was applying for admission to the art university, said that the Literature exam was not too difficult, the reading comprehension part was good because based on the reading comprehension part, we did a social essay talking about the current epidemic and the contributions of people to society today. Through that, we see that young people must contribute to the country and the community. I am quite confident that I will get about 8 points."

Sharing the same opinion with Nguyen Thi Linh Phuong, Nguyen Van Hung said that this year's Literature exam was within his ability. He thought he would get 7 points.

Teacher Tran Thi Hong Anh - Literature Teacher, Quy Hop 2 High School commented: This year's Literature graduation exam is not too difficult, not surprising to teachers and many candidates. The content is both topical, deeply humanistic and ensures the requirement of differentiating learners' abilities, suitable for candidates. Specifically: The reading comprehension part about the river is very good, students can easily get full marks. The social discussion part is all about dedication to the country and society, suitable for the current trend and the epidemic situation.

In Thanh Chuong, the first exam session went smoothly. After 2 hours of taking the Literature exam, the first candidates to leave the exam site at Dang Thuc Hua High School all felt excited.

Tran Minh Chien, a 12M student, said: I found the Literature exam to be within my ability. Although I did not study hard enough, I still finished all 3 questions. In my opinion, I did the best in the reading comprehension section, but the worst in the literature essay section. I predict that I will get about 6 points.

Like his classmate, Hoang Van Duc shared: "I found the Literature exam quite interesting, close to the general education program. With this exam, I did not do very well in the social essay writing about the contributions of youth. I also finished the test, but perhaps my score was not high. Regardless, I am still optimistic and happy to be ready for the next exam" - Duc said.

Excitedly leaving the exam site at Do Luong 1 High School, Nguyen Dinh Tien, a student of class 12A3, said: "I finished all the questions on the exam, expected to get about 7 points." Tran Van Linh, a classmate of Nguyen Dinh Tien, said: "This year's exam was quite easy, I did the questions fluently. I liked the social essay about "Living must contribute" and the literary essay about "Waves" by Xuan Quynh.

This year, Do Luong district has 1 candidate in the F1 Covid-19 category, that is Le Thi Tam Khanh - a student of class 12A5, Do Luong 3 High School. To prevent the epidemic well, she was taken by a private car to the exam location. Tam Khanh said: "Because I was well prepared mentally, I entered the Literature exam very comfortably and did quite well". According to the assessment, over 90% of candidates in Do Luong district did well in Literature this morning.

At the end of the first exam, according to the report of the Department of Education and Training, the whole province had 33,692 registered to take the Literature exam. However, there are currently 33,675 candidates taking the exam, the total number of candidates absent without reason is 17. Although the first exam was in essay format, no candidates or invigilators violated the exam regulations. Covid-19 prevention and control work was carried out seriously. No unusual incidents occurred. The exam took place normally, safely, and in accordance with regulations.
