The 10th grade Literature exam in Nghe An emphasizes the role of the young generation in love for the homeland and country.
On the morning of June 5, candidates for the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2024-2025 school year took the first exam in Literature in essay format, lasting 120 minutes. The exam was assessed by candidates as easy and within their ability.
At the exam site of Huynh Thuc Khang High School (Vinh City), Dau Minh Duc (student of Ha Huy Tap Middle School) was one of the first candidates to leave the exam room, excitedly saying that this year's Literature exam was quite suitable.
“Maybe because I had prepared carefully before the exam and had been reviewed a lot by my teachers, I found the exam to be normal and not too difficult. The social argument about gratitude towards one’s homeland is also a popular and quite familiar topic for students. With this exam, I think I could get 8 - 8.5 points. I registered my first choice at Huynh Thuc Khang High School, so with this exam, I think I have achieved my goal in Literature.”
The Literature exam has a familiar structure consisting of two parts: Reading comprehension and writing. In which, the literary argumentation question requires analyzing the development of Mr. Hai's mood in the work "The Village" by writer Kim Lan. According to many candidates, this is the content that schools include in the review focus so it is not too surprising. As long as candidates have a firm grasp of the core knowledge, they will not have difficulty in analyzing and will easily score points. The social argumentation question also raises issues suitable for secondary school students.

Thai Doan Tien (student of Hung Dung Secondary School, Vinh City) also said that this year's Literature exam was within his ability. The questions in the exam evoked emotions and inspiration for candidates, and personally, he was able to write 3 exam papers. With the social argument about gratitude for the homeland and country, the most difficult thing for him was to find evidence to analyze and illustrate. In the essay, he wrote about Uncle Ho - born and raised in his hometown of Nghe An. Later, he left to find a way to save the country and sacrificed his whole life for the national revolution. In reality, he related to businessman Pham Nhat Vuong and what he created, including many Vietnamese brands. He also related to himself that he needs to be responsible for studying so that he can contribute to building his homeland and country in the future.
Meanwhile, Nguyen Thuy Anh (student of Le Mao Secondary School, Vinh City) said that although the exam questions were not "right on target", during the review process, she had mastered the basic knowledge of the entire curriculum. Therefore, she still did okay, completing all the questions. According to Thuy Anh, if candidates study and review seriously, this year's Literature exam will be within their ability. The literary essay analyzing the character of Mr. Hai in the work "Village" by Kim Lan is familiar to students and is the focus of review at school. The social essay question is quite good and also interesting when it mentions young people with gratitude for their homeland and country. At school age, according to her, showing gratitude to their homeland and country is to focus on cultivating knowledge, skills, and personal values. Later, using their own abilities, they will contribute to building their homeland and country.
In Nghia Dan district, after 120 minutes of taking the test, many candidates walked out of the exam room feeling excited, relieved, and enthusiastically debating with each other.
Le Thi Thanh Huyen, Nghia Trung Secondary School at the May 1 High School exam site, said that the Literature exam was completely based on the knowledge that teachers had taught and reviewed. "As long as we stay calm and focus on studying, we can complete at least 70% of the exam. In the literature essay section, I studied poetry more carefully, but "Mr. Hai" in the work "Village" by writer Kim Lan is a good work and the teachers also reviewed carefully, so I still did relatively well."
As for Pham Van Tu, a candidate at Co Do High School, he shared: "I found the Literature exam not too difficult for my level of study. I also tried to do all the questions. However, if you do not study hard, it will be difficult to get a high score in the Reading Comprehension section. At the end of the exam, I was satisfied with my work."

Ai Linh expressed her interest in the social commentary question with the content: Today's young generation needs to show gratitude to their homeland.
