With 5 questions in 120 minutes, the math exam was considered not too long, and included interesting questions that were relatable to students. Question 2, which required students to solve a system of equations to arrive at the price of a dragon fruit and a coconut, was considered the easiest question to score points on and was answered most quickly by students. In addition, the questions on calculating the value of expressions and solving equations were also considered simple and easy by many students, allowing them to achieve an average score.

At the Phan Dang Luu Secondary School examination center, according to Mr. Bui Van Hung – the school principal and chairman of the examination board – nearly 80 students had completed their exams before the allotted time after two-thirds of the allotted time. Many candidates, formerly students of Bach Luu Secondary School, finished their exams in only about 30 minutes. With the positive results across the three subjects, he believes the school's cutoff score may be 1-2 points higher than last year because the students performed well. In this exam, Phan Dang Luu was also one of the schools with a high competition rate, and the school only accepted about two-thirds of the registered candidates.

At Thai Lao Secondary School (Hung Nguyen district), many parents expressed concern about the Math exam. Parent Nguyen Van Ngoc, from Hamlet 13, Hung Thai commune, said: "Last year, my son had a good academic record at school, but I don't know if he'll be able to pass the entrance exam to Thai Lao High School, which will require him to compete with students from the entire district. I just hope he gets enough points, at least to get into his second choice, Pham Hong Thai High School." This year, 387 students took the exam, but the school only has 304 places, so the competition is quite high. After the Math exam, each student had a different mood. For Phan Ha Tram, a student from Le Hong Phong Secondary School (a high-quality school in the district), the math exam wasn't too difficult, and she felt confident because she had completed over 90%.

However, observing the candidates after the exam, many expressed concern and said that the exam was more difficult than last year, especially the geometry section, questions 4c and 5, which were considered challenging and highly selective. Hoang Huyen Trang, a student from Quang Trung Secondary School, said: "To do well on these two questions, students need to attend many extra tutoring and exam preparation courses outside of school. Studying only from textbooks is not enough." Ms. Phan Thi Huong, a teacher from Quang Trung Secondary School, was also present at the Thai Lao exam center from the beginning. Watching the students' papers and listening to them discuss their answers, she said: "This year's exam wasn't too difficult compared to previous years, but it did have two challenging questions designed for high-achieving students. Therefore, it's certain that there will be fewer perfect scores (9 or 10) in Mathematics this year."

Thus, the 2015-2016 10th grade entrance exam has concluded. The first day of the exam proceeded smoothly. However, on the final day, one candidate at the Nam Dan 1 High School examination center violated exam regulations. Additionally, 131 candidates were absent from the third exam session. Throughout the province, no serious incidents occurred; the exam proceeded normally, safely, and in accordance with regulations.
The exam results are expected to be available on June 20th. Students applying to Phan Boi Chau Specialized High School and the Ethnic Minority Boarding High School will use part of these results for their school admissions.
