The math exam is designed to differentiate between candidates effectively.
At 9:45 AM, at the Vinh University exam center, candidate Luong Van Hung from Que Phong district emerged from the exam room feeling stressed. Hung said that the math exam was long and difficult, so he only managed to score about 4 points. "I couldn't do anything more while I was in the room, so I asked the invigilator to let me submit my paper and leave the exam room to review the afternoon exam," Hung confided.

Luong Van Hung, the first candidate to leave the exam center at Vinh University.
A few minutes later, at this examination center, a few other candidates also left the exam room. Most of them said that the math exam was a bit difficult for their level of knowledge, and they couldn't do the test, so they left the exam room early.
At the exam center at Huynh Thuc Khang High School, where the exam for Vinh University of Technology Education is located, most of the candidates are students with average or above-average academic abilities. Therefore, for many, the Math exam was quite long and difficult. In particular, question 6 (1 point) on inequalities was a question designed to differentiate candidates. "Only academically gifted students could score 1 point on this question," said candidate Nguyen Khanh Linh. Sharing Linh's opinion, many other candidates predicted they would only achieve around 4-5 points in Math.
While some candidates applying to lower-ranked universities felt the math exam was too long and difficult, candidates applying to major universities in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City had the opposite opinion.
At the exam center at Dang Thai Mai Secondary School, where candidates took the entrance exam for Hanoi University of Agriculture, it was past 10 a.m. before candidates began leaving the exam rooms. Most students felt relieved because the exam was manageable. At the exam center of the Water Resources University at Hermann Gmeiner School in Vinh, the math exam covered the curriculum, was not overly difficult, and was appropriate for university entrance requirements.

The candidates discussed the math exam questions.
Commenting on the math exam for khối A and A1, a high school teacher who took the entrance exam for the National Economics University said that the exam's format effectively differentiated average, good, and excellent candidates. "With this type of exam, students with good or excellent academic abilities who confidently apply to universities with high entrance scores will feel comfortable and it will be within their capabilities, while those with average abilities will find it difficult to achieve high scores," the math teacher confided.
This afternoon, the candidates will take the Physics exam.
