Proposing 6 groups of solutions to improve the satisfaction level of Nghe An voters
(Baonghean.vn) - Based on the practical activities of voters' contact activities of National Assembly deputies and People's Council deputies in recent times, the research team has proposed a number of solutions to improve voters' satisfaction.

On the morning of December 26, the Department of Science and Technology coordinated with the Standing Committee of the Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province to organize a workshop to announce the results of the 2023 sociological survey task with the content "Assessing voters' satisfaction with the results of resolving voters' petitions under the authority of the provincial and district levels through the activities of elected representatives with voters". Attending the conference were representatives of relevant departments, branches, sectors and a number of district-level localities.
Accordingly, the research team conducted a sociological survey on the above content in 10 districts, towns, and cities in the plains, coastal areas, lowland and highland areas. The research period is from 2020 to 2022.

According to the survey, in fact, the activities of contacting voters by National Assembly deputies and People's Council deputies in recent times have been serious, in accordance with the law, and of good quality. Voter contact activities have been increasingly innovated in the direction of promoting the role and responsibility of National Assembly deputies and People's Council deputies.
Coordination in voter contact activities between relevant parties is close and in accordance with regulations; voter contact activities are organized flexibly, in accordance with local conditions, practical, attracting voters' attention. Thereby, the sense of responsibility for explanation and acceptance of functional agencies and local authorities is enhanced, clearly demonstrating the connection between delegates and voters.

In addition to the achieved results, the settlement of voters' petitions still has many shortcomings and limitations such as: Although the number of voters participating is large, it does not ensure representation, and there is a situation where voters are not interested in voter meetings. Therefore, the recording of voters' opinions and petitions is not comprehensive; Some responses are not focused and are still formal.
The work of supervising, monitoring and urging the settlement of voters' petitions still has many limitations; Some opinions and petitions of voters raised at the voter contact conference are not clear and on point; The connection between delegates and voters between the two sessions is still limited; The work of informing and propagating the results of the settlement of voters' petitions is not timely...

Based on the practical activities of voters' contact activities of National Assembly and People's Council deputies in recent times, the research team has proposed a number of solutions to improve the level of voter satisfaction. In particular, focusing on 6 groups of solutions, specifically:
Firstly, continue to promote propaganda and dissemination of Party regulations, State policies and laws, policy mechanisms, programs, projects and proposals of the central, provincial and local levels to cadres and people, creating consensus in the implementation process.
Second, further improve the ethics, capacity, responsibility and performance of National Assembly deputies and People's Council deputies at all levels.
Third, effectively carry out contact work between National Assembly deputies, People's Council deputies at all levels with voters; synthesize voters' opinions and recommendations.
Fourth, strengthen and enhance the responsibility of all levels and sectors in resolving voters' opinions and recommendations; enhance dialogue activities between leaders of Party committees and authorities and the people.
5. Timely and effectively resolve complaints and denunciations.
Sixth, regularly review the handling of voters' petitions; improve the quality of monitoring the handling of voters' petitions.

At the workshop, delegates discussed the contents and results presented by the research group.
Concluding the workshop, Mr. Nguyen Quy Linh - Director of the Department of Science and Technology, chaired the workshop, emphasized: The survey results aim to help leaders at all levels grasp the level of satisfaction of voters with the results of resolving voters' recommendations and proposals. From there, appropriate adjustments can be made to further improve the quality and effectiveness of voter meetings.
