Crazy night of dog thieves with two girls
After chasing away the young man who was with them, the four dog thieves took two girls aged 15-17 to a deserted place and took turns humiliating the victims.
The Hanoi People's Procuracy has just completed the indictment to prosecute Le Minh Duc, Kieu Van Tung and Le Hoai Nam for the crimes of Rape and Rape of a person under 16 years old, according to Articles 141 and 142 of the Penal Code with a penalty range from 15 years to death.
According to the accusation, the group of young men and Ta Van Dat often gathered together to have fun. At around 10:30 p.m. on January 3, 2018, they invited each other to steal dogs to sell for money. The group brought sacks, nooses, knives, swords... and went around Phuc Tho district, Son Tay town to see if there were any dogs roaming around, with no one watching, so they could steal them.
After stealing two dogs, the group went to Ba Vi district to continue committing crimes. At about 1:00 a.m. the next day, when passing through Viet Long village (Tan Linh commune, Ba Vi), the group of thieves saw a young man carrying two girls, 15 and 17 years old, passing from behind.
Tung told the gang to chase after the car to tease the two girls. When they caught up, Dat blocked the car and told Duc to take a knife and chase the young man carrying the two girls. The man was scared, left his motorbike and the two girls behind, and ran away.
The two girls were left behind in a state of panic. The dog thieves decided to rape them and forced them into their car. They drove the two victims to a deserted hill and took turns raping them several times.
After committing the crime, they took the victim to a village gate in Xuan Son commune (Son Tay town) and took a bus home. They sold one of the two stolen dogs for 300,000 VND, and kept the other because it was small.
On January 4, 2018, two rape victims came to the police station to report the crime, but the identity of the perpetrators was unknown. Meanwhile, after raping the victims with his accomplices, Dat bragged about his "achievement" to a friend. A week later, Duc, Tung, and Nam were arrested, while Dat fled the area.
At the police station, Duc initially admitted to raping both victims with his accomplices. Later, he said he only committed the crime against one girl. However, based on the victim’s testimony and other evidence, the investigation agency confirmed that he raped two young girls, one of whom was under 16 years old.
Regarding the dog theft, the police determined that the amount was not enough to prosecute criminally, so they imposed administrative penalties on Duc, Tung, and Nam.
