Tro Kieu is an art form created from Truyen Kieu, in which the lyrics and melody are a blend of reformed opera, tuong, cheo, ca tru, ngam, lay Kieu and Nghe Tinh folk songs. The performers both sing and act.
The Tale of Kieu has been anchored in the souls of the people of Nghi Xuan (Ha Tinh) for hundreds of years and many generations; In the cultural and spiritual life of the people, the Tale of Kieu holds a very important role. All stem from the love for the Great Poet Nguyen Du and his masterpiece The Tale of Kieu.
