Vietnam - Korea music night 'opens up' VIP area due to lack of audience

Fans who bought tickets at the lowest price of 400,000 VND were invited by the organizers to the area priced from 2 to nearly 4 million VND to fill the empty seats.

The MBC Music Kplus Concert took place on the first night of March 25 at My Dinh Stadium, Hanoi. The concert featuring Korean idols such as Seventeen, EXID, APink, ICE... failed to attract audiences.

The concert was announced to start at 5pm, but by 6pm, the number of fans at the stadium was still sparse. The stands, which cost between 400,000 and 800,000 VND, were almost empty. The VIP and VVIP areas were not as crowded as the organizers had previously advertised as "sold out".

At around 7pm, when the show was about to start, the organizers decided to "open the door" for fans outside to enter the VIP and VVIP areas. This move made many viewers happy because they could get closer to their idols. A moment later, the organizers invited fans in the stands to come down to the field to cheer on the artists.

Linh Huong, a fan of EXID, confided that she and her friends arrived at the performance venue at 5pm and bought tickets easily because there were many excess tickets.Previously, from March 23, the organizers also applied the promotion "buy one get one free" when buying tickets directly at the stadium.Close to showtime, some "ticket brokers" even offered the audience 150,000 VND for the grandstand area.

Lan Anh, a fan of Seventeen, said that the gloomy weather from early afternoon and heavy rain when the concert just started also caused the number of fans to decrease, making the atmosphere of the show more disjointed.

The MBC Music Kplus music night is part of the Korean Corporate Culture Festival, aiming to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Vietnam - Korea friendship. The festival was once promoted to have aMany outdoor activities such as DJ shows, fashion shows... at Square B - My Dinh National Stadium for three days from March 24 to 26. However, these activities were also canceled.
