(Baonghean) - In recent times, with continuous efforts to improve the quality of medical examination and treatment, Nghe An Rehabilitation Hospital has affirmed its brand and reputation, from the effectiveness of rehabilitation for people with disabilities after accidents with traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, bone fractures...

After being discharged from the hospital, the patient went home to practice and climb stairs. He fell and could not walk with his left leg, but his arm could still move as before the fall... The patient and his family wished to be transferred to Nghe An Rehabilitation Hospital to practice rehabilitation.
After being admitted to the hospital, the patient was screened at the Emergency Examination Department and transferred to the Department of Occupational Therapy - Nghe An Rehabilitation Hospital for inpatient treatment.

Doctor Ho Thi Phuong B - who directly examined said: After contacting and asking about the patient's condition, the examination found: The patient's left arm was slightly paralyzed, the muscle test was at level 3 but the left leg could not move, movement was very painful in the left femoral neck area... Doctor Phuong ordered the patient to have an X-ray of the pelvis, neck, femur and a chest X-ray. The result: The patient had a fracture of the left femoral neck...
Immediately, Dr. Phuong informed the head of the department, invited a consultation and agreed to contact Nghe An Orthopedic Trauma Hospital to decide to transfer to the Orthopedic Trauma Hospital for femoral head replacement surgery, then continue rehabilitation.
After femoral head replacement surgery at the Orthopedic Trauma Hospital, I was transferred to rehabilitation at Nghe An Rehabilitation Hospital. Currently, my health has stabilized, I can take care of myself and move around more easily.
The case of patient Truong Xuan Thao is not the only one. There are many patients with broken bones, seemingly disabled, but after being rehabilitated at Nghe An Rehabilitation Hospital, their health and spirit have returned to normal. Some even returned to work, becoming the main pillars of their families in economic development.
As for Nguyen Thi Hien (19 years old) Cam Son (Anh Son), who was born with a motor disability, she was depressed and had low self-esteem. At the end of 2018, she had surgery and was transferred to Nghe An Rehabilitation Hospital. After only 2 weeks of rehabilitation, although her steps were still difficult, for Hien it was a huge change.
“Before the surgery, I had difficulty walking and was afraid to interact with people. After coming here to practice rehabilitation according to the process, I can now walk on my own two feet and confidently integrate with my friends.”
Improve service quality
In response to the increasing demand of patients, Nghe An Rehabilitation Hospital has recently invested in modern facilities and equipment, increasing the number of hospital beds. Along with standardizing the team of doctors, nurses and service staff, the Hospital is currently the first rehabilitation unit in the country to have a rehabilitation treatment center for patients with cerebrovascular accidents. The hospital also constantly updates new treatment methods, invites leading experts to teach and treat patients.
Thanks to that, at Nghe An Rehabilitation Hospital, hundreds of cases of motor disabilities, strokes... and other diseases have been treated and rehabilitated, bringing positive results.
I was hospitalized because I was immobile and needed someone to help me go anywhere. My arms and legs were immobile. After more than a month of treatment at the hospital, I can now walk by myself with a cane.

“Patients coming here for treatment are always cared for by the medical team and doctors, who contact them every day to understand their thoughts and wishes, then we can evaluate the appropriate treatment method for each patient.”
In the context of limited public investment in the health sector, the hospital has initially implemented autonomy. However, with the efforts and solidarity of the leaders and staff, Nghe An Rehabilitation Hospital has continuously developed, attracting more and more patients. In 2018, the number of patients increased by more than 20% compared to 2017. Of which, the number of seriously ill patients after surgery transferred from the Central level accounted for more than 20%.
