Information from the Nghe An Province Literature and Arts Association said that the 15th Lantern Festival Poetry Night will take place on the evening of the 18th day of the first lunar month (February 14) at Phan Boi Chau High School, Vinh City (Nghe An). The theme of Vietnam Poetry Day 2017 is “Spring – Homeland – Country”.
The poetry festival was jointly organized by the Literature and Arts Association and Phan Boi Chau School. Activities included reading, performing, commenting on poetry, presenting songs based on poetry… In addition to the “veteran” poets of the Nghe An Literature and Arts Association, there was also the participation of poets still in school and some young authors.
In addition, there will be gift-giving activities for outstanding students and children of soldiers protecting the sea and islands.
Other localities that have organized Vietnam Poetry Day include Hung Nguyen (February 8), Yen Thanh, Hoang Mai (February 9), Quynh Luu (morning of February 10). Localities that will organize Poetry Day in the coming time include Tuong Duong (February 14) and Dien Chau (February 17).
