(Baonghean.vn) - In keeping with the Mid-Autumn Festival atmosphere of children and teenagers throughout the province, on the evening of September 25th, at Tan Kieu fishing village, Vinh Tan ward, Vinh City Youth Union organized a "Mid-Autumn Festival for Children" event and awarded "Supporting Students to School" scholarships to disadvantaged children from Hong Son, Vinh Tan, and Cua Nam wards.

The children in Tan Kieu fishing village, Vinh Tan ward, Vinh city, are the offspring of families living on the river, facing difficult living conditions and lacking adequate learning and recreational opportunities. Organizing the "Mid-Autumn Festival for the Children" is an activity that helps the children of Tan Kieu fishing village in particular, and surrounding areas in general, to have fun and enjoy the Mid-Autumn Festival with lion dances and many singing and dancing performances praising President Ho Chi Minh and the homeland's seas and islands. This activity demonstrates the concern of society for the younger generation, providing encouragement and motivation for children, especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds in Hong Son, Vinh Tan, and Cua Nam wards, helping them to continue striving in their studies and become good children, good students, and good grandchildren of President Ho Chi Minh.

On this occasion, the Vinh City Youth Union also awarded 42 scholarships to poor children in Tan Kieu fishing village, Vinh Tan ward, and children with particularly difficult circumstances in Hong Son and Cua Nam wards, each scholarship worth 500,000 VND to support them in their studies.
