Unaccepted flower lantern weighing a ton collapsed on the street
A steel New Year's Eve lantern structure weighing several tons suddenly collapsed onto the street in Thu Dau Mot City, Binh Duong Province, causing many people to scream in fear, but fortunately no one was injured or killed.

According to a resident living on Tran Hung Dao Street, Thu Dau Mot City, Binh Duong Province, at around 2:00 p.m. on January 6, a steel and iron lantern structure weighing several tons across Tran Hung Dao Street, in Phu Cuong Ward, Thu Dau Mot City, suddenly collapsed onto the street.
According to observations, the flower light project was designed with many steel frames about 50 meters long, weighing tons, spanning across Tran Hung Dao street, near the roundabout of Thu Dau Mot city, which collapsed and lay haphazardly in the middle of the road. Many iron frames had loose welds, and screws fixing the iron pillars fell out.

Ms. Nguyen Thu Cuc, Vice Chairman of Thu Dau Mot City People's Committee, said that the above project was invested by Thu Dau Mot City Cultural Center to serve the decoration to welcome the New Year, and assigned the construction unit, Anh Duong Company Limited, headquartered in Ho Chi Minh City, to be responsible for the construction around the city center. Up to now, many iron pillars have been completed.
However, according to Ms. Cuc, although this project has been put into use, it has not been accepted due to lack of time. The City People's Committee has requested relevant units to fix the problem and clarify the cause of the incident.
It is known that the area where the incident occurred is a busy area of Thu Dau Mot City, with a lot of traffic.
In addition to the collapsed iron frame mentioned above, on this route there are about 5 other iron frames that have been erected and decorated with lights and flowers.
