Accordingly, it is expected that from now until 2030, Nghe An will build about 15,000 social housing units for workers, mainly in industrial parks in Vinh City and neighboring districts. To mobilize investment resources from society, in addition to the Government's policies, the province is considering planning to reserve land funds to invite large corporations to invest. In addition, it also encourages enterprises that employ many workers to build collective housing and public housing for officials, employees and laborers.

It is known that among the 15,000 social housing units for workers, there are 4 newly approved projects and 8,200 units are still in effect, including 4 large companies:MK Central Solar Power Joint Stock Companyand BMC International Trading Joint Stock Company in Nghi Long commune and Nghi Thuan commune (Nghi Loc); 1 project of Kim Thi Real Estate Joint Stock Company in Nghi Xa commune (Nghi Loc) and 1 project ofSong Lam Cement Joint Stock Companydoing investment procedures

The representative of the Planning and Construction Department of the Southeast Economic Zone also said: with the increasing demand for labor in industrial parks, by 2030 it is expected to be about 150,000 workers. Therefore, the Southeast Economic Zone Management Board is actively calling on businesses to invest in social housing in key areas such as Nghi Loc, Hung Nguyen, Vinh City... according to the preferential policies of the province and proactively taking advantage of the Government's preferential loan package of 110 trillion VND to build social housing for workers; at the same time, creating conditions and maximum support in procedures for businesses and investors to submit to competent authorities for approval of the design and planning for the construction of social housing for workers along with the construction of production workshops.

Previously, responding to the Prime Minister's call for constructionProject of 1 million social housing units for workersIn August 2022, corporations and enterprises nationwide registered to build 1.2 million social housing units for workers by 2030. However, due to many reasons and difficulties related to support policy mechanisms, only a few localities such as Dong Nai, Thai Nguyen, Binh Duong, and Da Nang have actively implemented the project, while the rest have not made any progress. It is expected that on February 17, 2023, within the framework of the national conference on removing difficulties for the real estate market, the Government will consider a separate support mechanism to promote investment projects in the social housing sector./.
