On the afternoon of February 17, the Investigation Police Agency of Nghi Loc District Police issued a decision to prosecute the case and prosecute Pham Hong Cuong (born in 1991), residing in Hoa Hieu Ward, Thai Hoa Town, for theft of property.

Accordingly, at 7:00 a.m. on February 13, Ms. Nguyen Thi Yen (born in 1987), residing in Nghi Kieu market hamlet (Nghi Loc) filed a complaint with Nghi Loc District Police about her family being robbed of 27.7 million VND in a safe in the bedroom.

Upon receiving the report, Nghi Loc District Police sent officers to the scene to investigate and verify. On February 14, the Investigation Agency clarified that Pham Hong Cuong was the person who stole money from Ms. Yen's family's safe.

At the investigation agency, Cuong confessed that the relationship between him and Mr. Tran Van Dung - Yen's husband, is his uncle's and aunt's child. Cuong himself is addicted to games.

On January 24, Cuong went to his cousin's house to celebrate Tet. During his stay, Cuong observed that his cousin had a safe in the bedroom. The key was right on the safe and the safe was not locked. Greed arose and he stole money three times, totaling 27.7 million VND. He used this money to play games and for personal expenses.

Currently, the case is being further investigated by the authorities.
