'Despacito' is the most streamed song of all time
Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee's Latin hit reached 4.6 billion streams on streaming services on July 19.
Universal Music Latin Entertainment confirmed that the original song and the Remix version of Despacito have surpassed the record of Sorry - Justin Bieber (4.38 billion streams) and Shape Of You - Ed Sheeran (4.07 billion streams).
Despacito also reached 2.6 billion views on Youtube. The song is expected to surpass the achievements of Gangnam Style - Psy (2.9 billion views) and See You Again - Charlie Puth and Wiz Khalifa (2.93 billion views).
Luis Fonsi said he was surprised by the success of Despacito. When writing Despacito, Luis simply wanted to create a song that people could dance to.
