Lac Hong University won the Robocon 2013 championship.

Overcoming their fellow university rivals, the LH-SEE team from Lac Hong University won the Robocon 2013 championship with an absolute victory in the "Green Planet" category in 51 seconds against the LH-NVN EAGLE team, also from Lac Hong University.

On the evening of May 12th, the final round of the 2013 Robocon Vietnam competition took place at the Tien Son Sports Arena (Da Nang City), witnessed by over 6000 spectators and supporters. Prior to this, 32 teams representing 13 universities and colleges nationwide had competed.Five days of intense and fierce competition.To find the 8 best teams for the final night, after overcoming strong competitors, the final match was decided between two teams from Lac Hong University: LH-NVN EAGLE and LH-SEE. Although faster than their opponents, LH-NVN EAGLE was unlucky when their "seedling" missed the target. Seizing the opportunity, the LH-SEE team's robot achieved a spectacular victory with a precise shot of the "seedling" onto the "moon disk," securing an absolute victory (Green Planet) in 51 seconds.

Not only did the LH-SEE team win first prize, they also won the Innovation award with a cash prize of 20 million VND. This also marks the fourth consecutive year that representatives from Lac Hong University have won the national Robocon championship.

Third place in this year's national Robocon competition went to the BKD - PTC team from Da Nang University of Technology and the LH-ET* team, also from Lac Hong University.

In addition to the First, Second, and Third prizes, the Organizing Committee also awarded prizes from the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Information and Communications, the Ministry of Education and Training, etc., such as the Idea Award to the Sao Do - DT2 team of Sao Do University, the Best Manual Robot Award to the DTU - TITAN team of Duy Tan University, the Style Award to the VTEC - RTC team of Vinh Phuc College of Economics and Technology, the Best Automated Robot Award to the DTU - POLLUX team of Duy Tan University, and the Technology Award to the BKD - PTC team of Da Nang University of Technology.

Thus, the champion team LH - SEE and LH NVN EAGLE - the second-place team in the 2013 Robocon national competition - will represent host country Vietnam at the Asia-Pacific Robot Creativity Competition held in Da Nang in August 2013.

This also represents the hope of host nation Vietnam in reclaiming the Asia-Pacific Robocon championship title after a seven-year wait, since 2006.

At the Robocon Techshow, held concurrently with Robocon 2013, the Organizing Committee also selected the best technological products and awarded first prize to the hovercraft robot from Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, second prize to the automated assembly system from Lac Hong University, and third prize to the autonomous underwater robot from Sao Do University and the garbage-collecting robot from the Information Officers' School.
