(Baonghean.vn) - While driving his girlfriend home after attending a wedding, a young man was hit and killed instantly by a passenger bus.

The accident occurred at approximately 0:30 AM on February 6th on National Highway 1A, in the section passing through Dien Hong commune, Dien Chau district (Nghe An province).

The victim's car was severely damaged.

According to eyewitnesses, at the time of the incident, a Hoa Hong bus with license plate 74K – 8590, traveling on the Quang Tri - Hanoi route, collided with a motorbike with license plate 37P7 – 5620 driven by a young man (residing in Ma Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district) who was taking his girlfriend home to Dien Phong commune, Dien Chau district. The accident occurred when he turned onto National Highway 1A to return home.

The powerful collision severely damaged the motorbike, which was dragged by the car for about 10 meters before stopping. The victim died on the spot.

Immediately after the accident occurred, the 5-1 traffic police force arrived at the scene to investigate the cause of the incident.

It wasn't until 3 a.m. that same day that authorities finished examining the scene and removed the two damaged vehicles.
