(Baonghean.vn) - On the night of September 28, while carrying rice from the field home, Mr. Tran Huu Hien (55 years old) in Binh Ngo hamlet, Thanh Giang commune (Thanh Chuong) was struck by lightning and died.

According to the victim’s relatives, on the 28th, the sun was very strong, Mr. Hien’s family had harvested rice since morning but had not yet brought it home. In the afternoon, after attending a funeral in the neighborhood, at around 5:00 p.m., Mr. Hien and his wife and children took their cart to the field to transport the rice.

An atmosphere of grief enveloped the victim's house.

While transporting the rice cart for the second time, there was a thunderstorm and thunder. At about 25 minutes to 10 pm, while his family was on their way home from Bau Na field, they were struck by lightning, killing both the man and the cow. Mr. Hien was struck dead by lightning and lay face up in the field, the cow pulling the cart lay down on the side of the road. His wife and youngest son were behind the rice cart and were lucky to escape death.

On the morning of the 29th, relatives and neighbors were completing funeral procedures for the victim.
