Transporting rice at night was struck by lightning and died

(Baonghean.vn) - On the night of September 28, while carrying rice from the field home, Mr. Tran Huu Hien (55 years old) in Binh Ngo hamlet, Thanh Giang commune (Thanh Chuong) was struck and killed by lightning.

According to the victim’s relatives, on the 28th, the sun was very strong, Mr. Hien’s family had harvested rice since morning but had not brought it home yet. In the afternoon, after attending a funeral for someone in the neighborhood, at around 5:00 p.m., Mr. Hien and his wife and children took the cart to the field to transport the rice.

An atmosphere of grief enveloped the victim's house.

When he was transporting the rice cart for the second time, he encountered a thunderstorm and thunder. At about 25 minutes to 10 p.m., while his family was on their way home from Bau Na field, they were struck by lightning and both the man and the cow were killed. Mr. Hien was struck dead on his back in the field, and the cow pulling the cart collapsed on the side of the road. His wife and youngest son were behind the rice cart and were lucky to escape death.

On the morning of the 29th, relatives and neighbors were doing the funeral procedures for the victim.
