Accordingly, at 2:00 a.m. the same day, the district police investigation agency received a report from Mr. Hoang's family: At about 0:15 a.m., Mr. Hoang returned from a late-night snack with three other friends and went to the entrance to Quynh Luu II High School (in hamlet 8, Quynh Van commune).

At that time, Mr. Hoang stopped by the roadside to use the restroom when a passenger bus stopped right in front of Mr. Hoang. At that time, 3 young men on the bus jumped out, holding iron pipes (about 60 - 70cm long) and attacked Mr. Hoang.
