Go gold digging and find antiques
(Baonghean.vn) - When it was first dug up, everyone thought it was gold. People gathered around to see and wanted to share it. Later, they realized it was ancient bronze objects.

These are two bronze artifacts owned by Mr. Cao Van Thuong, residing in Mo Than village, Tam Quang commune, Tuong Duong district (Nghe An).
An object nearly 9 cm long, nearly 5 cm wide, weighing about 0.3 kg, cast in bronze. One end is sharpened, the other end has a hole for the handle. According to experienced people, this object is an ancient axe used for hunting and daily life of ancient Vietnamese people.

The remaining artifact is shaped like a spearhead. It is 21cm long, 5cm wide at its widest point, and weighs about 0.2kg. One end is pointed, while the other end is hollowed out to accommodate the handle. This is considered a weapon, a hunting tool of ancient people.
Mr. Thuong and his mother said that the two bronze artifacts mentioned above were found by his father nearly 30 years ago while digging for gold at Tam Bong waterfall, in Tam Huong village, Tam Quang commune (Tuong Duong).

Mr. Thuong recounted that at first when they found it, his family and everyone else mistook it for gold because it looked so shiny. "They even tried every way to share it with my father because they mistook it for gold. Only later did they find out it was made of copper," said Mr. Thuong.
According to him, at that time, many people picked up ancient bronze objects but because they did not understand their value, they lost them all. As for his family, knowing that these were artifacts of historical and cultural value, they kept them very carefully.
