Crossing a dilapidated bridge, falling into a stream and dying
(Baonghean.vn) - Mang Bridge in Ta Lanh village, Chau Hanh commune was built and put into use in 1977. After 40 years, the bridge has seriously degraded, many people and livestock have fallen off the bridge.

Mang Bridge connects Ta Lanh village, Chau Hanh commune to Highway 48, not only serving to bring water to the fields but also creating conditions for people to travel. The bridge is nearly 130m long, 1.3m wide, the highest point compared to the stream surface that the bridge crosses is nearly 9m.
The bridge spans a small stream and rice fields. For about 15 years now, Mang Bridge has been in disrepair, and the railings have been missing. However, despite knowing the dangers, hundreds of people still have to cross this bridge every day.

Mr. Lang Thanh Duyen - head of Ta Lanh village said that Ta Lanh village has more than 400 people, with more than 100 households living, of which 80% of the people pass through Mang bridge.
Accidents on the bridge happen frequently, 7-8 times a year, many people fall and are lucky to escape death but are seriously injured, many livestock also fall and die when crossing this bridge.

Mr. Lang Thanh Duyen added that recently on the afternoon of November 10, a man crossing this bridge had his wheel slip and fell into the stream and died. It is known that the victim was Lang Van Son, 46 years old, residing in Ta Lanh village, with a particularly difficult family situation, and two sons who are still in school age.
