Two women were hit and killed by an ambulance while exercising.

A rescue vehicle lost control and crashed into three women exercising on the sidewalk, killing two and seriously injuring one.

The accident occurred at around 5:30 this morning (October 24) on the service lane of National Highway 5 (Vinh Ngoc Commune, Dong Anh, Hanoi) when the rescue vehicle with license plate 29C-917.XX was going from Nhat Tan Bridge to Vo Nguyen Giap Street.

The ambulance caused the accident.

When reaching the extension of National Highway 5, the car lost control, went straight onto the sidewalk, and hit 3 middle-aged women doing morning exercises.

The strong collision caused 1 person to die on the spot, 2 others were seriously injured and taken to the hospital for emergency treatment, but 1 person also died shortly after.

Police investigating the scene

Immediately after the accident, the ambulance driver left the scene.

Traffic police and Dong Anh district police were present to examine the scene and investigate the cause of the accident.

The two deceased victims were Ms. Hoang Thi T. (born in 1964) and Ms. Tran Thi Ch. (born in 1951). The injured person being treated at the hospital is Ms. Nghiem Thi Huong (born in 1945). All three people lived in Vinh Ngoc commune, Dong Anh district./.
