The 267-page book was published by Phuong Dong Book Company and the People's Police Publishing House. "Going home without a destination" is a collection of 39 essays, creating 39 portraits of artists and writers, including writers, poets, and critics, from veteran writers such as Nguyen Ngoc, Duong Tuong, Nguyen Huy Thiep, Trung Trung Dinh, Vo Thi Hao... to young writers such as Vu Phuong Nghi, Nguyen The Hoang Linh, Tran Thu Trang, Hoang Anh Tu, Di Li...

Many generations of artists and writers are portrayed by Quynh Trang in a realistic, vivid and diverse way through the book. In this collection of portraits, Quynh Trang mainly describes the inherently important connection between Literature and People. With the advantage of being both a writer and a journalist, and currently an editor of the newspaper "Sports - Culture", Quynh Trang has taken advantage of her observation and literary taste to emphasize this connection between the work and the author, something that pure journalists find difficult to do.
Sharing more about the new book, Quynh Trang said: “In addition to writing, I am also a journalist, and writing about portraits of artists is a job that I love very much. To have this book, I spent 7 years "conceiving" to bring readers the most accurate information, descriptions, and stories about artists, especially writers and poets. In fact, I read their works and I portray their portraits through the way I grasp and feel through those works. Even among them, there are people I have never met. But all are the most genuine and closest views of their souls that I see through their own creations."
At the launch of Quynh Trang's new work, in addition to the participation of some characters that she portrayed in the book such as writers Di Li, An Ha, Hoang Anh Tu, Duong Tuong, Nguyen Thi Thu Hue, there was also the presence of director Viet Tu, painter Phan Cam Thuong, musician Duong Truong Giang, who are also close artist friends of Quynh Trang.

As someone who read the manuscript of the book before its release, artist Phan Cam Thuong frankly commented: “If you say that Quynh Trang’s essays are criticism, that’s not true. She did not intend to do that, but the criticism and critical statements appear quite a lot, and it can be said that they are also sharp. I do not hope that the book will become something too exemplary, but will be comments worth living and paying attention to in the lives of artists today.”
