Dog thief riding fake license plate was surrounded and beaten by locals

(Baonghean.vn) – Mr. Tran Dai Hoa – Chief of Dien Truong Commune Police (Dien Chau) said that the police are investigating the case of two suspected dog thieves who were seriously injured by villagers.

At around 5am on April 1st, hearing a dog barking in the yard, Mr. Tran Van Mien (Hamlet 16, Dien Truong Commune, Dien Chau) ran out and saw two strange young men dragging his family's dog on the street, so he immediately called out to the neighbors to chase them.

Being chased by villagers, these two men quickly abandoned their motorbikes and ran away. When they reached Hamlet 17, Dien Truong Commune, the two "dog thieves" were stopped and arrested by villagers.

Upon receiving the news, Dien Truong Commune Police sent officers to the scene and found both of them lying on the road, bleeding profusely. One was seriously injured and was taken to the hospital for emergency treatment. The other was taken to the commune police station to give a statement.

At the police station, this person confessed that he lived in Dien Yen commune (Dien Chau), and that they both went to Dien Truong commune to steal dogs to sell. However, a quick verification through Dien Yen commune police revealed that no one had the same name as these two young men.

Dien Chau district police then returned to work and took the remaining subject to the hospital for a health check.

Police are temporarily holding a motorbike with license plate 37P2 – 4762, initially determined to have a fake license plate, and some tools such as swords, electric shocks, etc.

The incident is still under investigation.
