Christmas gift service in Nghe An is bustling
(Baonghean.vn) - These days, shopping malls, bookstores, toy stores... are busier as the demand for Christmas gifts increases. In addition, Santa Claus gift-giving services have also started working overtime to meet customer demand...

Since mid-December, the atmosphere at most bookstores in the Nghe An school supplies and books system has been quite bustling, with an increase in the number of customers coming to buy Christmas gifts. Many bookstores have mobilized more staff to advise on gifts and wrap gifts according to customers' requests.

“On this occasion, we have dedicated a space in all stores in the system to display Christmas gift products with outstanding decorations, both creating check-in points and attracting customers. At the same time, we diversify the products to suit customers' tastes. This year, the trend of buying Christmas gifts is simple, practical, affordable gifts such as: books, stuffed animals, thermos bottles, toys…”, said Mr. Pham Tien Dung - Head of Retail Sales Department, Nghe An Books and School Equipment Company.
According to Mr. Dung, this year, the sales volume is high but the revenue from Christmas gifts has decreased slightly because people tend to choose gifts that fit their budget. Understanding the needs of customers, bookstores also cooperate with third parties to provide Santa Claus delivery service with fees depending on the distance.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Hai Ly - an employee of Thanh Chuong Education Bookstore (Thanh Chuong district) said: "Compared to previous years, this year's Christmas gift items are more abundant, with a variety of prices for customers to choose from. In addition, to stimulate shopping, we also run a discount program, with 5-10% off Christmas gift items from the beginning of December. From December 16-20, Christmas decorations sold very well and from December 21-25, gifts were very popular. Therefore, retail revenue from this item increased sharply."
According to observations, at stores and supermarkets, Christmas gifts are displayed quite eye-catchingly at the booths. Currently, there are many products serving gift needs such as: Greeting cards; Santa Claus figures, snowmen; pine trees; decorative lights, clothes, candies... accompanied by extremely rich and diverse forms, designs, and styles so that customers can not only shop but also take photos to check-in.

The notable point of the Christmas gift and decoration market this year is that Chinese goods no longer hold the monopoly position. Souvenirs, greeting cards, stuffed animals are made in Vietnam with many beautiful designs, reasonable prices, attracting many customers. At the same time, "handmade" items such as: Santa Claus keychains, pine trees, cards... are also welcomed and enjoyed by consumers.
Surveying the gift market, prices of Christmas items this year have not increased compared to last year. Along with the market for decorations and gifts, gift wrapping and delivery services have also flourished. In particular, the Santa Claus gift delivery service has started and attracted many customers who want to surprise their loved ones.

Specializing in children's toys, for nearly 10 years now, on Christmas, Mr. Le Sy Kien - owner of a store in Ben Thuy ward (Vinh city) has launched the program "Buy gifts, Santa Claus delivers to your home".
Accordingly, when customers buy any toy at the store during Christmas (from early December to December 25), the store will wrap the gift, and the store staff will play the role of Santa Claus and go to the requested address to deliver the gift. The fee for this service depends on the value of the order. If the order is over 500,000 VND, the service is free. If the gift is of lower value, the fee will be calculated based on the delivery distance, ranging from 15,000 VND - 50,000 VND/trip.

“Thanks to the implementation of this accompanying service, the number of Christmas orders has increased this year despite the difficult economic times. Since the beginning of the month, our shop has had over 300 orders within the city and about 100 individual orders from the districts,” said Mr. Kien.
