Public electronic game services must be 200m away from schools.
The Government has just issued Decree 72/2013/ND-CP on the management, provision and use of Internet services and online information, which stipulates the operating conditions of public electronic game service providers.

Accordingly, organizations and individuals are granted a Certificate of eligibility to operate a public electronic game service point when meeting the following conditions: Having a business registration for a public electronic game service point; the public electronic game service location is 200 m or more from the gate of a primary or high school.
At the same time, there must be a sign "Public electronic game service point" including the name of the point, address, contact phone number, and business registration number.
In addition, the total area of the computer rooms of public electronic game service points must be at least 50 m2 in special urban areas, type I and type III urban areas; at least 40 m2 in type IV and type V urban areas; at least 30 m2 in other areas...
4 conditions for being granted a license to establish a social network
The Decree also specifically regulates the management of the establishment of electronic information pages and social networks.
Accordingly, organizations and enterprises are only allowed to establish a general electronic information website or establish a social network when they have a License to establish a general electronic information website or a License to establish a social network.
To be granted the above license, organizations and enterprises must meet 5 conditions: 1- Being an organization or enterprise established under Vietnamese law with functions, tasks or business registration in an industry suitable for the services and information content provided; 2- Having management personnel meeting the requirements prescribed by the Ministry of Information and Communications; 3- Having registered a domain name used to establish a general electronic information website or social network; 4- Having sufficient financial, technical, organizational and personnel capacity suitable for the scale of operation; 5- Having measures to ensure information safety and information security.
License to establish a general electronic information website, License to establish a social network has a duration according to the request of the organization or enterprise but not exceeding 10 years.
The Decree takes effect from September 1, 2013.
