Diem Quynh: Journey from MTV MC to powerful and beautiful VTV6 Chief at the age of U50

Dang Diem Quynh (born in 1972) is the daughter of diplomat Dang Nghiem Hoanh, Vietnamese Ambassador to China. After finishing high school majoring in Literature at Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted, Diem Quynh went abroad to study Chinese Language and Mandarin in Beijing (China).

After graduating, she was invited to work at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This fate later made her one of the most famous MCs of Vietnam Television.

In the program "Thanh Xuan Restaurant" broadcast in July 2020, Ms. Bui An Ninh - one of the first female directors of VTV Literature and Arts shared that it was Diem Quynh's husband who came with his wife to meet her and then the two decided to choose a career in television: "One fine day, Quynh brought her husband to my house to play. After sitting for exactly two hours, her husband asked all sorts of questions. I said: "So are you going to recruit a boss for your wife or are you going to apply for a job for your wife?". Quynh's husband said: Yes, I am going to recruit a boss for my wife. Tomorrow we will refuse the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, refuse the National University, so my wife can work in television with you".

Joining VTV3, Diem Quynh immediately became the beauty queen of the station with her pure and sweet beauty. Many international music audiences still remember the MC duo of MTV Magazine - Diem Quynh and Anh Tuan. Not only were they dynamic and lively, they also had rich knowledge and many witty and interesting things to share.

This couple later also became popular with the game show "Music Game" - a familiar spiritual food in the early 2000s. MC Dang Diem Quynh was also the "host" of a series of other programs such as "Rainbow"; "Musical Gift"; "Vietnamese Song", "Endless Life"...

Few people know that, at one time, Diem Quynh also participated in translating famous Chinese films on VTV such as "The Yongzheng Dynasty", "Camel Road", "Lu Buwei"... She once confided: "The job of translating Chinese films for me is like someone who only uses his right hand occasionally. Every day I work on programs, and at night I slowly translate, living in a more peaceful atmosphere. That change of feeling helps me to be less tired".

Currently, Diem Quynh is holding the position of Head of Youth Department VTV6 of Vietnam Television.

The former beauty queen of VTV has a happy life with her architect husband and two daughters. Her eldest daughter has grown up, while Diem Quynh's second daughter is now 4 years old.
