2025 High School Graduation Exam Scores Are 2.26 Points Lower Than Transcripts, Ministry of Education and Training Announces Surprising Data
The Ministry of Education and Training has for the first time published detailed comparison data between the 2025 high school graduation exam scores and the 12th grade report card scores. Accordingly, the report card scores are 0.12 to 2.26 points higher than the average exam scores.
High school transcript scores are higher than exam scores: Industrial Technology has the biggest difference
According to the analysis results from the Ministry of Education and Training, in all 12 subjects in the 2025 high school graduation exam, the average grade point average of 12th grade students is higher than the high school graduation exam score. This difference ranges from 0.12 to 2.26 points.
Specifically, Literature had the lowest difference, only about 0.12 points. On the contrary, Industrial Technology recorded the highest difference of up to 2.26 points. Next was Math with a difference of 2.25 points, and English with a difference of 1.57 points compared to the transcript score.


This is the first time the Ministry of Education and Training has announced in detail the difference in scores between the transcripts and high school graduation exam scores of candidates nationwide.
The publication of this data is expected to become an important basis for universities and colleges to convert admission scores between different methods into a common coefficient, to ensure fairness and transparency in the admission process.
2025 University Admissions Schedule: Candidates Need to Master the Timelines
To facilitate the university registration and admission process, the Ministry of Education and Training has announced a detailed schedule of important milestones:
Register and adjust your wishes: Candidates have the right to register and adjust their admission wishes an unlimited number of times on the common system of the Ministry of Education and Training. The implementation time is from July 16 to 5:00 p.m. on July 28.
Paying admission fees: From July 29 to 5:00 p.m. on August 5, candidates will pay admission fees according to the number of registered wishes online.
Announcement of benchmark scores: University benchmark scores of schools are expected to be announced before 5:00 p.m. on August 22.
Confirmation of admission: All admitted candidates (including direct admission candidates) are required to confirm their admission on the system before 5:30 p.m. on August 30 if they wish to study.
Additional admission: From September 1 to December 2025, candidates who need to apply for additional admission will follow the admission information posted on the admission information page of each training institution.
