Wan Aziz, the investigating officer, named the four suspects and revealed the fifth suspect during the trial today (November 6).

Wan Aziz, the investigating officer in the murder of North Korean citizen believed to be Kim Jong Nam, the half-brother of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, has given new information in court, Malaysia Today reported.

The newspaper quoted Wan Aziz's testimony as saying that the fifth suspect, also named "James", was involved in the murder of the North Korean victim at Kuala Lumpur International Airport.

In court, Mr. Aziz said, based on intelligence information obtained from the Royal Malaysian Police's special division, two men named "James" were involved.

The police officer also provided the real names of the four suspects: Hong Song Hac, 34 (known as Chang); Ri Ji Hyon, 33 (Mr Y); Ri Jae Nam, 57 (Hanamori), and O Jong Gil, 55 (James). The fifth suspect, also known as James, has a real name of Ri Ji U.

"However, the police's special unit said that there is no information about the time Ri Ji U entered and left Malaysia. This subject was identified through the mobile phone of Siti Aisyah, one of the two female suspects," police officer Wan Aziz said, when asked by Deputy Public Prosecutor Iskandar Ahmad to clarify the content he received.

According to Mr. Aziz, an airline employee arranged plane tickets for the four suspects so that they could depart immediately after the incident on February 13.

Siti Aisyah and Doan Thi Huong are on trial for the murder of a North Korean citizen. Their defense lawyers maintain that Huong and Siti were tricked into taking part in a harmless prank for a reality TV show.
