Dien Chau: In the first 6 months of the year, total budget revenue reached over 123 billion VND

(Baonghean.vn) - On July 28, the People's Council of Dien Chau district held the 2nd session, term 2016-2021, to evaluate the socio-economic situation in the first 6 months of the year and tasks for the last 6 months of 2016.

In the first 6 months of the year, the total production value of Dien Chau district reached 5,115 billion VND, equal to 52.6% of the plan, up 8.2% over the same period. Some high-performing sectors include: industry and construction increased by over 12.6%, services increased by 8.2%, agriculture, forestry and fishery increased by 3%. In terms of new rural construction, the whole district achieved 639 criteria, an increase of 13 criteria compared to 2015, with 1 more commune reaching the finish line, bringing the total number of communes meeting the standards to 15.

Total budget revenue reached over 123 billion VND, equal to 56.2% of the annual ordinance estimate, up nearly 45% over the same period. In terms of culture and society, the whole district has 27 communes with standard cultural and sports facilities, the education sector is among the top in the province in terms of comprehensive education quality.

In Dien Chau district, there are 6 jellyfish processing facilities in Dien Kim and Dien Hai communes that purchase products for local people, of which 3 jellyfish processing facilities have a capacity of up to 300 tons/day.

The district has completed over 6,300 land records; effectively implemented the program of receiving people, resolving complaints, denunciations and recommendations of voters; created new jobs for nearly 1,560 workers; and maintained national defense and security.
