Dien Chau: Total budget revenue in the first 6 months of the year reached over 123 billion VND.
(Baonghean.vn) - On July 28, the People's Council of Dien Chau district held its second session of the 2016-2021 term to assess the socio-economic situation in the first six months of the year and the tasks for the last six months of 2016.
In the first six months of the year, the total production value of Dien Chau district reached 5,115 billion VND, equivalent to 52.6% of the plan, an increase of 8.2% compared to the same period last year. Several sectors achieved high results, including: industry and construction (up over 12.6%), services (8.2%), and agriculture, forestry, and fisheries (up 3%). Regarding the New Rural Development program, the entire district achieved 639 criteria, an increase of 13 criteria compared to 2015, with one more commune reaching the target, bringing the total number of communes meeting the standards to 15.

Total budget revenue reached over 123 billion VND, equivalent to 56.2% of the annual statutory budget estimate, an increase of nearly 45% compared to the same period last year. Regarding culture and social affairs, 27 communes in the district have standard cultural and sports facilities, and the education sector is among the top in the province in terms of comprehensive education quality.

The district has processed over 6,300 land-related documents; effectively implemented the program for receiving citizens, resolving complaints, denunciations, and voter petitions; created new jobs for nearly 1,560 workers; and maintained national defense and security.
