Dien Chau: 82 contestants participate in the 2nd Youth Informatics Competition.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of March 12th, the Department of Education and Training of Dien Chau district, in coordination with the District Youth Union, organized the 2nd Young Informatics Competition for the 2014-2015 school year.

Eighty-two contestants from 41 primary and secondary schools across the district participated in the 2nd Young Informatics Competition. This included 35 secondary school students from 18 schools and 47 primary school students from 23 schools. These were outstanding contestants selected from the school-level competition. Over 120 minutes, the contestants competed in informatics-related subjects: Practical application skills for primary school students and programming for secondary school students. The competition content revolved around general computer knowledge, software, basic computer terminology, operating systems, and thinking skills, using the keyboard and mouse to draw pictures, create documents, and program logos (for primary school students), and Pascal programming (for secondary school students).

The competition aims to develop the movement of learning, creativity, and application of information technology among young people. At the same time, it creates a playground for them to interact, learn from each other's experiences, and actively research and apply information technology in their studies, play, and entertainment. This is also an opportunity for the Dien Chau education and training sector to discover and nurture talented students in information technology, and to select a team to participate in the provincial-level youth information technology competition, which is expected to be held in May 2015.
